MCP Fundamentals
How the Model Context Protocol turns APIs into tools an agent can call: connect the APIVerve MCP server to a real client, read tool schemas the way a model does, and lock down what an agent's key can spend.
Give AI agents real tools: connect the APIVerve MCP server, ground answers in live data, control cost and failure, and build agent workflows you can trust.
Developers adding tools and live data to AI assistants and agents. Three courses, taken in order; finish one and its badge is yours, finish all three and the exam is waiting at the end. New to APIs? Start with APV-100.
How the Model Context Protocol turns APIs into tools an agent can call: connect the APIVerve MCP server to a real client, read tool schemas the way a model does, and lock down what an agent's key can spend.
Stop agents guessing at facts that change. Give them a small set of well-described tools backed by live APIs, return errors they can act on, and keep every conversation inside a credit and latency budget.
Write the agent loop yourself: turn APIVerve endpoints into model tools, build a research agent that cites its sources and a signup triage agent that recommends rather than acts, then test and guard both before they touch production.
30 questions in 45 minutes, some of them hands-on with your own key. Pass with 700 out of 1000 and get a credential anyone can verify.
Each course is one skill area, 10 questions each, drawn fresh for every attempt.

Most are multiple choice: a scenario, a snippet of code or a response, and four options. A few are hands-on: the exam shows you a request, you run it with your own key, and type the value from the response.
A hands-on answer counts only if your APIVerve key actually called that API. Running the call is the skill being measured.
You have 45 minutes from the moment you start. The lessons and the docs are fair game, which is how you'll work on the job anyway.
Scores are out of 1000 and 700 passes. You'll see how you did in each course, so a near miss tells you exactly what to review.
If you don't pass, you can retake the exam after 24 hours. After two attempts in a row without a pass, the next one opens after 7 days.
Pass and you're issued a credential ID with a public verification page, one-click LinkedIn and a shareable transcript. Credentials don't expire.
