Compose API Systems
Design systems that use many APIs: choose providers with evidence, run calls as a dependency graph, enrich records with provenance, and decide what to build yourself.
Design systems built on many APIs: choose and combine APIs into workflows and pipelines, architect agent and MCP platforms, plan for outages and scale, and handle personal data.
Senior developers and architects designing systems that depend on several APIs. Three courses, taken in order; finish one and its badge is yours, finish all three and the exam is waiting at the end. It builds on APV-300 and the Associate paths.
Design systems that use many APIs: choose providers with evidence, run calls as a dependency graph, enrich records with provenance, and decide what to build yourself.
Design platforms that run many AI agents: choose the MCP and tool-calling architecture, design tools, enforce approvals, policies and budgets, and evaluate and govern agents in production.
Learn to design multi-API systems that handle outages, share rate limits and credits fairly across tenants, protect personal data, and pass an architecture review.
30 questions in 120 minutes, some of them hands-on with real API requests. Pass with 700 out of 1000 and get a credential anyone can verify.
Each course is one skill area, 10 questions each, drawn fresh for every attempt.

Most are multiple choice: a scenario, a snippet of code or a response, and four options. A few are hands-on: the exam shows you a real API request, you run it, and type the value from the live response. Those runs are free and don't use your credits.
3 questions ask you to write a short JavaScript function, such as a retry decision or a signature check. Run it against the examples as often as you need. When you submit, it runs against hidden tests on our side, and it counts only if it passes all of them.
A hands-on answer counts only if you ran its request during the exam. Running the call is the skill being measured.
You have 120 minutes from the moment you start. The lessons and the docs are fair game, which is how you'll work on the job anyway.
Scores are out of 1000 and 700 passes. Pass or fail, you get a report of how you did in each skill area, saved to your account to print or keep as a PDF.
If you don't pass, you can retake the exam after 24 hours. After two attempts in a row without a pass, the next one opens after 7 days.
Pass and you're issued a credential ID with a public verification page, one-click LinkedIn and a shareable transcript. It's valid for three years, and renewal is free.
Each one is its own three-course path and exam.
