Questions.

Common questions about the JSON Schema Generator API.

Read the docs →
Which JSON Schema specification version does it produce?
It generates schemas compatible with JSON Schema Draft-07. The output includes standard Draft-07 URI identifiers along with inferred root types, property definitions, and required field lists.
Does it detect specific data formats like dates and email addresses?
Yes. Beyond primitive types like strings, numbers, and booleans, the analyzer inspects string values to detect formats including dates, email addresses, and URIs automatically.
Can I provide custom metadata like titles and descriptions for the schema?
Yes. You can pass optional title and description parameters along with your sample payload. If omitted, the schema defaults to using Generated Schema as its title.
Does the generator mark properties as required or optional?
It marks all detected properties as required by default. The resulting schema includes an array listing every top-level property name under the required attribute.
How many schema generations does the Free plan cover?
The Free plan covers 100 schema generations each month. Each generation uses 2 credits. On the Starter plan, 200,000 credits cover up to 100,000 schemas, which works out to about $0.30 per 1,000 calls.
